My name is Karin
I am a Motion Designer.
I am passionate about animation - for television and video production, infographics, explanatory videos, image films and interactive UI design. I work independently and as a freelancer.
It's the transfer of knowledge that excites me.
Why?
Because every time I tackle a new topic, I enjoy the opportunity to learn something new.
Always.
This fuels me.
Skills
I work with a wide range of softwares – and I learn new ones swiftly.
I have very good knowledge of After Effects (including Expressions), Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere. I also occasionally work with Cavalry, DaVinci Resolve, Rive, Spline and Figma and a little bit of Blender, VizArtist ...
I'm currently learning JavaScript (well, I'm trying to...)
I work cleanly, in a structured manner and with great care. And I organise my projects in such a way that they can be handed over without any problems.
As a service provider, I am used to keeping an eye on budgets and time frames.
I like to work thoroughly and with a keen eye for detail. But sometimes there are situations where you have to be able to come up with a quick and clean solution.

My Showreel
My foundations
I have a keen sense of composition, dynamics, rhythm and tension in moving images. Stylistic confidence, the principles of animation, technical understanding and curiosity – these are my foundations for technically accurate solutions.
I want to go deeper
The conceptual preparatory work for an animation helps me to familiarise myself with a new topic. I enjoy learning new things and I keep asking questions until I have a deep unterstanding of everything, and then I develop suggestions for a visualisation.
As someone recently said: Tellerrand is not the limit
